Scope of the Role:

As package QS for the F34 project, it is your responsibility to make sure that all aspects of the job are price agreed to ensure an acceptable rate of return to Mercury. You are also required to ensure that we maintain a sufficient history / paper trail to effectively support all payment and claim submissions.

You are required to set specific goals for your elements of the project that align with the overall project goals and manage the delivery of these goals in a forward looking and controlled manner.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• To provide support to Construction Team on all Quantity Surveying functions including, but not limited to the following:
• Reviewing of Contracts, and ensuring compliance
• Procurement – operational procurement activity and contract support, in conjunction with the Procurement Department
• Managing and forecasting the Cash flow of your package
• Reviewing and commercial management of your package, to ensure accurate and reliable reporting
• Identify, analyse and report on trends within your package
• Provide Data and analysis of issues & risks as required to line manager.
• Improve and implement best practice commercial processes and accurate budgeting
• Review all incoming correspondence from Employers, Design Team and /or subcontractors, to identify contractually critical items and to initiate replies
• To ensure Construction Team is adhering to all Contractual Requirements and providing advice and monitoring of same
• Ensure reporting is in line with Group Policies & highlight exceptions to line manager
• All other duties associated with this role.

Essential Criteria for the Role:

• Academically (Degree) qualified and or relevant experience in the industry
• 3-5 years’ experience in a QS role on Data Centres or large scale projects
• A wide understanding of work contracts
• A working knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical Work Packages
• Good with FiguresAble to negotiate with clients on a professional level
• Experience in use of Excel a requirement
• Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
