We're seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead the Food Safety, Quality and Compliance agenda across four manufacturing sites in France. This is not a purely desk-based quality role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being present on the shop floor, working closely with production teams, identifying opportunities for improvement firsthand, and driving a strong quality culture throughout the operations.

The successful candidate will combine strategic quality leadership with a practical, operational approach, ensuring that food safety and quality standards are effectively embedded in everyday manufacturing activities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and continuously improve the Food Safety & Quality Management System.
  • Act as HACCP Team Leader and ensure food safety risks are effectively identified, controlled and monitored.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, customer requirements and internal standards.
  • Promote and strengthen a proactive food safety culture across all sites.

Compliance, Audits & Certifications

  • Plan and lead internal audits across the organization.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits conducted by certification bodies, customers and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with certification standards such as IFS and HACCP.
  • Drive effective corrective and preventive actions to ensure sustainable improvements and audit readiness.

Quality Assurance & Performance

  • Oversee quality control processes covering raw materials, production and finished products.
  • Monitor quality and food safety KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead investigations into non-conformities, complaints and quality incidents using structured root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Ensure robust product release and deviation management processes.

Customer & Supplier Quality

  • Manage quality-related customer complaints and lead effective resolution plans.
  • Support supplier approval, qualification and performance monitoring processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to continuously improve quality and food safety standards throughout the supply chain.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive initiatives focused on quality excellence, food safety and operational efficiency.
  • Support new product introductions and process changes from a quality and compliance perspective.
  • Promote risk-based thinking and preventive actions across all sites.

Leadership & Development

  • Provide guidance, coaching and support to quality teams across four manufacturing sites.
  • Deliver training on food safety, hygiene, GMP and quality standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to site management teams and senior leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Engineering or a related field.
  • Significant experience in a Quality Management role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety legislation and food safety management systems.
  • Experience with IFS, BRCGS, ISO 22000 or equivalent certification standards.
  • Proven track record leading audits, inspections and certification processes.
  • Experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in French and English.

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to lead Quality & Food Safety across four manufacturing sites in France.
  • High-impact role with strong visibility and exposure to senior leadership.
  • Opportunity to shape strategy, influence decision-making and drive organizational improvement.
  • International manufacturing environment committed to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
  • Competitive salary package of €72,000 - €80,000.

Ready to Make an Impact?

This is more than a Quality Manager position. It is an opportunity to lead quality and food safety across multiple sites, influence business performance, and help shape the future of a growing organization.
