Role
As Chief of Staff to the VP of QHI, you will act as a key link between strategy and execution, ensuring alignment and momentum across the department.
You will work closely with the VP, the QPU Lead Expert, and team leaders to shape and structure the department’s technical roadmap. In parallel, you will lead or contribute to high-impact cross‑functional initiatives, stepping in hands‑on when needed, to bridge organizational or technical gaps.
You will also collaborate closely with PMO and TechOps to ensure smooth and reliable delivery across the department.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting the dots, fostering cross‑functional collaboration, and diving into complex physics and engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the VP and QPU Lead Expert to translate strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps, KPIs, and cross‑functional initiatives.
- Contribute to the formalization of the roadmap through clear technical syntheses and reports.
- Support the deployment of the roadmap into a structured and coherent project portfolio.
- Lead and/or contribute to key cross‑functional projects, such as the optimization of screening at A&B; provide hands‑on technical contributions when needed, particularly in system engineering.
- Identify bottlenecks in workflows, communication, and decision‑making processes; drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem‑solving approaches (e.g., Gemba).
- Facilitate collaboration between the department and other teams, acting as a central point of coordination.
- Set up the production organization for the first machines delivered externally.
- Act as a force multiplier for the VP by preparing key meetings, tracking KPIs, synthesizing information, and ensuring follow‑through on decisions.
- Represent the department in industry events, forums, and supplier engagements.
- Serve as a trusted proxy for the VP in internal and external discussions, ensuring clarity and consistency.

Requirements
- 4+ years in high‑growth environments, with experience in scale‑ups, venture capital or M&A.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proficient in English and French.
