QA Engineer - Full Remote or Hybrid (m/f/d)
Job Description
We are looking for a QA Engineer to play a key role in the continuous improvement of the quality of our e-commerce platform. You will be central to implementing automated tests in collaboration with experienced QA testers. You will work in a modern, cutting-edge technological environment: Cucumber, Playwright, XRay, GitLab, Gherkin, AI, etc. This position requires the ability to quickly develop technical skills and work closely with cross-functional teams (product, software engineering, QA).
Automate Tests
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cucumber and Playwright (TypeScript)
- Integrate scripts into CI/CD pipelines for fast and reliable release validation.
Expected Results
- Reduce release validation time thanks to automated critical scenarios.
- Improve delivery reliability, with fewer critical bugs identified late in the process.
Enhance Automation within the team
- Work with testers who have strong functional knowledge to identify and prioritize critical scenarios for automation.
- Support the development of their skills in automation tools and methodologies.
Expected Results
- Create a prioritized catalog of automated scenarios, validated by the QA team.
- Strengthen QA team in the use of automation tools, increasing its ability to test effectively.
Develop Functional Expertise
- Immerse yourself in the functional scope to understand critical workflows (user journeys, promotion management, order flows, etc.).
- Actively participate in discussions with product and software engineering teams to ensure relevant test coverage.
Document and Report
- Write and maintain documentation for automated and manual tests in XRay (integrated with Jira).
- Provide regular reports on test coverage and automated execution results.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for builders who move fast, think big, and care deeply about creating impact that lasts.
- At least 5 years of experience in test automation; strong proficiency with the Cucumber/Playwright (TypeScript) stack is highly valued.
- Proficiency with XRay for managing test assets and test campaigns within Jira.
- ISTQB certification (Foundation level or higher) strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitLab).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and ability to work within cross-functional product/engineering teams.
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to structure and improve QA processes.
