QA Engineer

Main duties and responsibilities

You will join our Laboratory, and be responsible for overseeing the procurement of raw materials and additives, supporting audit processes, managing laboratory projects, and substituting for the lab manager when needed. This role includes maintaining quality, safety, and environmental standards, and ensuring effective communication and coordination within the production team.

• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Track and review audit reports to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement and monitor improvement initiatives based on audit findings.
• Organize and oversee emission tests to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Initiate and supervise the setup of quality installations with suppliers.
• Oversee daily quality checks and ensure standards are maintained.
• Address and resolve any non-conformities in lab operations.
• Verify calibration of lab equipment to maintain accuracy and manage orders for laboratory materials and supplies.
• Report QSE deviations and hazardous situations, and propose solutions.
• Manage a team of operators.

Requirements

• With an engineering background (wood, paper, physical chemistry, food industry), you have 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in laboratory management and quality control.
• Knowledge of QSE standards and regulations.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and coordinate with various departments.
• Excellent command in English, French and German.
