Responsibilities
- Tender process
- R0 (Go / No Go): Provide technical support to the tender leader to prepare and animate the R0 gate review.
- R1 (Bid / No Bid): Provide technical support to the tender leader to prepare and animate the R1 gate reviews.
- Bid preparation
- Analyze & comment customer requirements to ensure full understanding and applicability for Arabelle Solutions and its suppliers.
- Identify the technical and quality requirements impacting costing & design.
- Define the best technical solution proposal (optimal technical fit, optimal performance, optimal schedule) at the lowest cost.
- Provide technical leadership to cross‑functional teams.
- Lead pump sizing and provide the necessary input data to start the product definition.
- Prepare the clarifications & deviations list.
- Propose innovative solutions to position our products into commercial discussions and respond to customer needs.
- Costing
- Prepare the quotation packages (drawings, materials, quantities, weight list, ITP) with support from other departments (Quality, Design, Manufacturing, and Sourcing).
- Participate in the technical analysis of the supplier’s offer and prepare the compliance matrix of key pump elements.
- Technical offer preparation
- Prepare and/or coordinate the technical documentation to be sent to the customer (datasheet, pump characteristic curves, general and civil drawings, cross‑sectional drawing, bill of materials, technical description note).
- Ensure complete and accurate technical offers and project documentation within the given timeframe.
- Handover to execution
- Contribute to the handover of the contract to the execution team (OTR).
- Return of experience
- Consider the return of experience from the execution team for inclusion in future technical offers.
- Interfaces
- Internal communication: with Sourcing, Pump Product Engineering, System Engineering, Sales team, Tender Leader.
- External communication: Present and defend the proposed technical solutions to the final customer.
- Behavior
- Provide an excellent level of customer service & communication in an international environment.
- Develop solid product knowledge for nuclear power plants.
- Work as part of a team and adopt a flexible approach to increase and maintain the quality of service.
- Provide accurate information to customers.
- Develop and support standard methodology & documentation for costing, planning, and tender engineering documentation production.
Qualifications
- Education
- Master’s degree in Mechanical and/or Hydraulic engineering.
- Training
- Trained in Nuclear Safety Culture.
- Trained in ITNS‑I/ITNS‑A management and NS tagging (Important To Nuclear Safety – Item / Activity).
- Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pump design or manufacturing.
- Technical and/or behavioral know‑how in pump design and performance calculation.
- Technical competencies
- Knowledge of rotodynamic and vacuum pump design and main factors affecting hydraulic/mechanical performance.
- Calculation methodology knowledge of pump performances (head, flow, power, efficiency, cavitation, mechanical pre‑design).
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
- Decisionmaking, planning, and organization.
- Language skills
- Fluent in French and English.
- Applicable standards
- Machinery Directive, Pressure Equipment Directive.
- ISO19443 (Nuclear Safety).
- Hydraulic and mechanical pump standards: ISO9905, ISO9906, ANSI‑HI9.8.
- CODAP / EN‑13445, RCC‑M.
