Salary: $28.76 per hour (2026 hourly pay)

This position is eligible for the annual COLA pending City Council approval.

Typical work schedule: 40 hours a week, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (hours outside of normal schedule may vary based on seasonal and emergency response).

• Operate construction and maintenance equipment including excavators, loaders, and trucks
• Perform road repair, snow plowing, and general maintenance of streets and public infrastructure
• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment

Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B or C with N endorsement
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in equipment operation, road maintenance, or construction (preferred)
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
• Availability for on-call work, especially during snow removal operations or emergency situations

Residency: Applicant is required within six months of hire, to establish a bona fide residence within a thirty-mile radius of the jurisdictional boundary of the City of Marinette.
