Role Description
You will be the Public Policy Lead (Head of public policy for France) based in Paris.
You will be required to support and represent the company’s business objectives in France primarily and in the EU – you will be part of the International Public Policy team.
You will report to the International Head of Public Policy.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for policy analysis and advocacy for our Legal entity based in Paris and, in collaboration with the rest of the team, for the EMEA region.
- You will support our country executive for France and partner with the local management team in engaging with French policy makers, regulators, government officials and stakeholders.
- You will represent the firm in the local trade associations, think tanks and other organisations that are relevant to the company's business in France and in Europe.
- You will develop and maintain relationships and engage with external stakeholders and prepare executive‑level presentations and analyses for senior leaders of the company.
- You will contribute to a range of advocacy efforts across the EMEA region that impact the firm and work closely with the other members of the public policy team based in Brussels and in the rest of EMEA and partner extensively with our public policy colleagues in APAC and in the US.
Qualifications
- Proven and extensive experience in policy, public sector, government entity, regulator, trade associations, financial services institution, consultancy or related role.
- A developed portfolio of contacts with French public stakeholders. For both the financial services and in the broader policy arena is desirable.
- Fluent in English and French, both written and orally – mandatory. Knowledge of an additional language would be desirable.
- Solid grasp of French institutional and decision‑making process is sought. Similar knowledge of the EU institutional framework is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multi‑task and prioritise multiple issues.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills is a prerequisite. An ability to engage senior stakeholders.
