Position Overview

Public Policy Lead (Head of public policy for France). Based in Paris, the role supports the company’s business objectives in France and the EU, reporting to the International Head of Public Policy.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct policy analysis and advocacy for the company’s interests in France and, in collaboration with the team, across the EMEA region.
  • Represent the firm to French policymakers, regulators, government officials and stakeholders.
  • Engage with local trade associations, think tanks and other relevant organisations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and prepare executive‑level presentations and analysis for senior leaders.
  • Contribute to EMEA‑wide advocacy efforts and collaborate closely with public‑policy colleagues in Brussels, APAC and the US.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in policy, public sector, government, regulatory or trade‑association work, preferably within financial services or related fields.
  • Strong portfolio of contacts with French public stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English and French, written and spoken; knowledge of an additional language is desirable.
  • Solid grasp of the French institutional and decision‑making process; knowledge of the EU institutional framework is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multi‑task, prioritize issues and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
