Responsibilities

  • Control the quality of compliance with donor rules throughout the project cycle: provide technical support to headquarters and field operational teams; review and validate contractual donor documents (contracts, amendments, narrative and financial reporting)
  • Study, update, explain, disseminate and maintain donor administrative rules related to funding contracts (funding requests, project management, reports…)
  • Create, update, consolidate and circulate donor summary documents
  • Advise operational teams in fundraising and the development of their project financing plans (prospective donor mapping, strategic selection of donors…)
  • Provide technical support for preparing funding applications; review and, where needed, draft project proposals
  • Inform and train field staff and desks on procedures, tools, contracts and donor rules
  • Monitor calls for proposals, news, policies and guidelines of donors
  • Advise teams on donor rules and audits
  • Coordinate project submissions when they involve multiple hubs and/or multiple countries
  • Maintain consolidated follow-up of donor contracts (dates, cash flow, reporting, financial and contractual information…), disseminate updates and alert operational staff and line managers
  • Specific focus for this fixed-term position:
    • Follow-up of EU donors (ECHO, INTPA…) and US donors (Department of State…)
    • Participation in the project committee for the ECHO evaluation 2026/2027
    • Reference person for MdM’s screening procedure (implementation, training, support, updates)

Requirements

  • You hold a higher education degree at master level (equivalent to Bac+5) such as a business school, IEP or a university degree (professional master, MBA, etc.) in management
  • You have a minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in the humanitarian sector, including significant field experience; priority given to candidates with experience in administration / donor relations
  • You understand the cycles and mechanisms of public funding and can identify and analyze the stakes of institutional funding policies
  • You have a good command of DG ECHO donor rules (experience with DG ECHO preferred)
  • You know and can identify the contract management rules of major donors. You are committed to developing your technical and institutional knowledge to anticipate changes in these donors and the needs of MdM operational teams
  • You can organize your work and manage priorities effectively
  • You demonstrate adaptability in the face of operational constraints and unforeseen events
  • You have strong interpersonal skills, clear oral communication and a collaborative team spirit
  • You are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken; Spanish is a plus
