Project Manager Officer [H/F]
Overview
PMO responsible for structuring, deploying and continuously improving the project governance system within the Project Management Excellence 2026 initiative. Contributes to defining and implementing governance rituals and to the development of the Project Management Playbook, a reference containing standards, models, governance rules, RASIC matrices, risk management practices, escalation processes, milestone preparations, and principles for using project tools. Maintains the consolidated milestones repository in Odoo and, after deployment, manages, animates and continually improves the portfolio governance and steering system across the organization.
Direct interface with Customer Project Managers, the TPM Lead and the iOPS Team Lead to ensure visibility of the portfolio, high quality reporting, strong planning control, milestone tracking, risk consolidation, and governance readiness. This role does not substitute for operational project management responsibilities, technical convergence responsibilities of the TPM Lead, or the operational duties of the iOPS Team Lead.
Responsibilities
- Functional leadership : Deploy and enforce project governance standards, rituals, tools and best practices with Customer Project Managers, the TPM Lead, TPMs, Module Leaders and the iOPS Team Lead.
- Coaching and support : Guide project teams and contributors in consistent use of methods, templates, dashboards, risk registers, action logs and Gate Review materials.
- Cross-functional facilitation : Prepare governance instances and challenge information quality without substituting for operational project management responsibilities.
- Execution culture : Promote rigor, accountability, transparency and continuous improvement in portfolio management.
- Governance and operating rhythm : Contribute to the structuring, deployment and animation of governance rituals (portfolio/project reviews, gate reviews, risk reviews, action reviews) and consolidate contributions to provide a reliable, concise view of the portfolio.
- Reporting and portfolio cockpit : Define and improve standard project and portfolio reporting; collect data from CPMs, TPM Lead, TPMs, Module Leaders and iOPS Team Lead; produce executive dashboards (status, milestones, risks, actions, escalations, gate readiness, revenue at risk, blockers); ensure data quality and consistency for decision supports to the Head of Projects, COO and CODIR/COMEX as applicable.
- Planning, milestones and project controls : Structure and maintain the consolidated milestones repository in Odoo (planning, milestones, gate reviews, deliverables, financial data, risks, actions, governance decisions); support CPMs in tracking contractual milestones and client commitments; assist TPM Lead in tracking technical milestones, system dependencies, advanced development projects and convergence risks; highlight schedule variances, critical paths, interdependencies and blocking points requiring arbitration.
- Gate readiness and deliverables tracking : Structure and monitor gate review readiness, deliverables, owners, target dates, statuses and open points; identify missing or immature outputs and prepare factual elements for decision; track post-gate actions to closure without substituting for technical or operational owners.
- Risk, issue and escalation management : Consolidate risks, issues and escalations with owners, mitigation plans, criticality, review dates and closure status; highlight transversal risks, weak signals and recurring items that may cause delays, non-conformances or client escalations; prepare factual elements for arbitrations by Head of Projects and escalations to the COO.
- Methods, tools and data quality : Contribute to structuring the Project Management Playbook, automate reporting, and establish a single source of truth for the portfolio; ensure data quality and consistency for decision support.
- Lessons learned and continuous improvement : Capture project-level lessons learned (client projects, advanced development, gate reviews, non-conformances, client escalations, iOPS feedback); translate into improvements to processes, templates, checklists and governance rituals; track action closure and contribute to organizational maturity assessment for Projects.
Qualifications
- Education : Engineering, project management, industrial management, business or related field.
- Languages : French and English at least B2 (spoken and written); other languages are a plus.
- Experience : Minimum 7 years in PMO, Project Controls, Program Management or Project Management within a complex industrial environment; experience in sectors such as space, aerospace, defense, automotive, complex hardware/software is a plus; proven governance, planning, reporting, KPIs, risk management, gate reviews and continuous improvement experience.
- Capabilities : Ability to adapt large-group methodologies to a startup/scale-up culture.
- Technical skills : Expertise in project governance, project controls, planning and portfolio tracking; proficiency with planning and reporting tools (Odoo, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Primavera P6 or equivalent); advanced Excel and Power BI preferred; strong risk/issue/action/delivery consolidation; understanding of hardware/software development cycles, technical milestones, gate reviews, change control and CCB; ability to build executive dashboards focused on decision-making with high data quality; knowledge of small satellite markets, propulsion systems and NewSpace environments is a plus.
