Project Manager Nuclear
Would you like to grow as a PROJECT MANAGER within a global leader in energy management and automation , delivering innovative solutions for large-scale, low-carbon and highly regulated industrial programs?
As a Project Manager, you will lead the execution of preliminary engineering studies for the EPR2 (Evolutionary Power Reactor 2) program, one of Europe’s most ambitious nuclear new-build initiatives. In this strategic role, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams to position advanced electrical distribution solutions for this large-scale, low-carbon energy program in France. Reporting to the Deputy Program Director, you will ensure contractual compliance, financial performance, and high-quality execution in a complex, highly regulated, multi-stakeholder environment.
Location: Grenoble area, France
What will your main responsibilities be?
- Lead the execution of pre-studies (€5M over 12 months), ensuring full alignment with contractual, financial and technical commitments
- Coordinate functionally a multidisciplinary team of 8–10 experts (technical leads, finance controllers, contract managers, laboratories, factories, procurement and supply chain)
- Analyze and manage complex, multi-technology contracts , consolidating technical and financial data to secure performance and margins
- Act as the primary interface with the client and its engineering division, negotiating commitments, milestones, risk mitigation and expected profitability
- Ensure delivery excellence: compliance with deadlines, budgets, internal processes, safety standards and group contractual rules
- Optimize internal and external stakeholder costs while maintaining customer satisfaction and project profitability
- Contribute commercially by promoting recurring OPEX service opportunities
What will you need to succeed?
- From 10 years of experience as a Project Manager in complex industrial environments, with mandatory experience in the nuclear sector
- Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering (strong knowledge of LV/MV systems and electrotechnics) or Business degree with strong technical affinity
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in matrix organizations and manage high- stakes contractual negotiations
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets and margin objectives
- Bilingual French and fluent English (mandatory)
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Resilience and focus on business objectives under pressure
- Digital mindset and ability to leverage integrated tools to improve efficiency
