Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Project Manager – KWiFi Program to coordinate the rollout of satellite-based Community Broadband WiFi initiatives in underserved rural areas in Africa.

Who You Are

Project-driven: You enjoy building and structuring complex operational programs with multi‑stakeholder dynamics.

Solution‑oriented: You find pragmatic paths to execution even in emerging or resource‑constrained environments.

Collaborative: You build trust across functions and cultures and are comfortable dealing with C‑level counterparts as well as field technicians.

Hands‑on: You like to get things done, follow up and ensure execution is on track, without losing sight of the bigger picture.

What You’ll Do

Program Planning & Execution

Support overall structuring, planning and execution of the KWiFi rollout roadmap.

Track and coordinate deployment activities with regional partners, suppliers and integrators.

Prepare and maintain live tracking tools (dashboard, KPIs, rollout plans).

Identify risks and bottlenecks; propose and follow up mitigation plans.

Partner & Internal Coordination

Ensure alignment between technical, commercial, supply chain, regulatory and field teams.

Liaise with key external partners, including:

  • Distributors operating under the retail business model, who handle village‑level deployment and customer engagement;
  • Telecom operators (e.g., Orange), integrating KWiFi into their service offering or distribution networks;
  • PowerCos (such as EDF), who add connectivity to their off‑grid energy infrastructures in rural areas.

Work in close collaboration with local and Paris‑based commercial teams for Africa to ensure alignment on rollout priorities, partner engagement and field support.

Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, NOC, Logistics, Finance, Regulatory, Product) to ensure timely delivery and activation.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Consolidate inputs from BIP, Indio and field reports to build performance reviews and suggest operational improvements.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and stakeholders.
  • Prepare regular progress updates for internal management and external sponsors (e.g., EIB, IFC, government stakeholders).

Process & Support Management

Formalize escalation procedures (L1–L3) and coordinate with NOC and external vendors:

  • L1: Local support by partner/installer.
  • L2: Assistance to partners in using our monitoring tools (BIP/Indio) and resolving issues, with escalation to the Eutelsat technical team if needed.
  • L3: Escalation to suppliers (HNS for modem, Cambium for WiFi AP, Rhema Logistics or ClearBlue for solar kits).

Support training and onboarding of local installation teams and partners.

Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of internal processes (PoC management, SLA tracking, partner onboarding).

Collaborate with relevant teams on the automation of reporting integrating BIP with Indio data.

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management, ideally in telecom, infrastructure deployment, rural development or connectivity.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage complexity and push forward execution.
  • Good understanding of connectivity ecosystems and/or satellite and WiFi‑based infrastructure.
  • Fluency in English and French (spoken and written); other languages are a plus.
  • Proven capacity to work across functions and geographies.
  • Experience in Africa or with public‑private projects is a strong advantage.
  • PMP or Prince2 certification is appreciated.

Where You’ll Work

Issy‑les‑Moulineaux, France.
