Project Manager
Bureau Technical Services are recruiting on behalf of a global leader in mission critical consulting and project delivery.
Our client partners with some of the world's leading hyperscale, colocation, cloud, financial services and telecommunications organisations, providing specialist consultancy, commissioning and technical services across the full lifecycle of mission critical facilities.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their expanding team in Paris.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-profile data centre projects while joining an organisation recognised for delivering technical excellence across the mission critical sector.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of consultancy and commissioning projects for mission critical clients. Working closely with clients, technical specialists and internal stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual requirements, programme objectives and commercial targets.
This is a client-facing role requiring excellent organisational skills, commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of mission critical consultancy and commissioning projects from award through to completion.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop project execution plans, delivery programmes and resource plans.
- Coordinate commissioning managers, engineers and technical specialists to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, invoicing and overall financial performance.
- Monitor project progress, risks and key deliverables.
- Ensure contractual obligations are met and project documentation is maintained.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to clients and senior management.
- Support proposal development, tender submissions and project planning activities.
- Lead project kick-off meetings, planning workshops and client review meetings.
- Manage project changes while maintaining commercial control.
- Ensure compliance with quality, health and safety procedures.
- Build long-term client relationships and identify opportunities to support future projects.
About You
You are an organised and commercially minded Project Manager with experience delivering complex engineering or technical projects. You are comfortable working in a client-facing environment, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple priorities.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience managing engineering, construction, consultancy or commissioning projects.
- Experience within the data centre or mission critical sector is highly desirable.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and financial performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- A proactive, collaborative and customer-focused approach.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous Project Management experience within engineering, construction, consultancy or commissioning.
- Data centre or other mission critical experience is highly desirable.
- A recognised Project Management qualification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent would be advantageous but is not essential.
- An engineering or technical background gained through education or industry experience is beneficial but not essential.
