Project Management Officer

We are working with a French deep-tech scale up company who are developing a novel process for key chemical production. They're moving from pilot delivery to full industrial roll out, are scaling rapidly and building the senior team to match their ambition.

What We Are Looking For

Reporting to senior management, you will oversee strategic programs and cross-functional projects from the scoping phase through to execution and delivery, ensuring that cost, deadline, quality, and technical performance objectives are met. You will play a cross-functional role between R&D, product, operations, and industrial partners.

Program & Project Management

• Structure and manage complex programs (WBS, OBS, CBS, etc.)
• Define performance indicators and roadmap progress tracking metrics
• Monitor budgets, risks, dependencies, schedules, and resources
• Work with activity managers to coordinate multiple teams (R&D, Product, Industrialization) during program execution
• Implement management tools and sessions adapted to the work environment
• Prepare internal reviews and strategic committees
• Frame requirements and formalize specifications
• Monitor progress and enable priority arbitration
• Identify risks and recommend solutions

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, PhD, or specialised Master’s degree
• 10+ years in project/program management (hardware) R&D; experience in the field of energy transition would be a plus
• Involvement in projects from the pre-sales phase through to delivery
• Experience in operations, maintenance, after-sales service/support for complex industrial units
• In-depth knowledge of complex industrial or R&D organisations
• Experience in a startup or agile environment highly appreciated

Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of complex technology development cycles
• Technical risk management
• Product development and TRL ramp-up
• Good understanding of design, process, mechanics, electricity, automation, etc.
