Project Leader – Neuro‑Immunology Responsible for driving research programs from concept to pre‑clinical candidate (PCC). Reports to the Head of Neuro‑Immunology Research and defines the clinical hypothesis and project strategy, ensuring alignment with therapeutic goals and a smooth hand‑off to the Asset Leader. The role leads a cross‑functional core team of R&D experts, fosters high‑impact collaboration and external partnerships, and integrates deep drug discovery expertise with scientific excellence and urgency.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the core team to deliver project objectives, orchestrating scientific ambition and operational execution while promoting collaboration and accountability.
  • Develop and execute the scientific strategy, anticipate and manage risks, challenge assumptions, and incorporate emerging science or technologies.
  • Drive objective, data‑driven decision making, present key updates and milestones, and assume accountability for Go/No‑Go recommendations.
  • Identify critical risks early, propose mitigation strategies, and present escalations as needed.
  • Engage and align key internal stakeholders to ensure strategic coherence and efficient decision making; represent the company in scientific or strategic collaborations.
  • Ensure timely updates to the line manager and governance bodies, maintaining scientific and operational traceability.

Background

Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD). Deep knowledge and professional experience in neuro‑immunology, preferably for rare diseases and a proven track record in drug discovery processes.

  • Combine deep drug discovery leadership with business acumen to drive differentiated asset strategies and long‑term value creation.
  • Leverage curiosity, critical thinking, and emerging technologies / AI to accelerate high‑quality project outcomes while keeping the patient at the center of decision making.

Strategic & Operational Excellence

  • Set clear priorities and expectations for the core team, aligning project objectives with TA and R&D strategy.
  • Define evidence‑based decisions, success criteria and KPIs, track performance, and promote continuous improvement.

Competitive Landscape & Intellectual Property Awareness

  • Maintain a sharp understanding of the competitive environment, integrating market intelligence and scientific trends that present threats and opportunities.
  • Anticipate IP opportunities and risks, ensuring project strategies are differentiated, protected, and aligned with long‑term value creation.

Language Skills

Fluent in English; French is a plus.
