Overview
Digital & Technology are at the core of GEODIS. Using the GEODIS Strategy, Vision, Values and Golden Rules, the vision of GEODIS D&T is to transform digital technologies into a GEODIS advantage, making Digital, Data and IT a differentiator for GEODIS’ business while keeping control of cost and operational efficiency of our D&T ecosystem. As part of its Odyssey digital initiative, Geodis has launched an ambitious Finance Transformation (FIT) project to replace its heterogeneous solutions with a Finance and P2P core model based on S/4HANA Cloud private edition and Coupa solutions for the entire Group. The core model will cover Record to Report (R2R), Controlling, Order to Cash (O2C) and Source to Pay (S2P) processes and will interface with the Group’s operational tools. The multi‑year project comprises the creation of a core model, deployment of a pilot in 2024‑2025, and rollout in waves from 2026 onwards.
Mission
- Supporting internal business and IT teams in managing the Core Model consistency, enriching it and implementing it.
- Contributing to roll‑out the solution within the core team centrally by preparing or managing Design Authorities on SAP Finance.
- Preparing the transition of the solution to run mode and taking charge of the entities being deployed.
Internal IT SAP FIT Finance Project Lead Tasks
- Organize SAP Finance IT Project teamwork, monitor workload plans and capacity by prioritization.
- Contribute to the project implementation of the Group Finance and P2P solution by providing experience and expertise.
- Challenge and validate technical and functional solutions proposed by the SAP integrator to produce a maintainable and deployable solution until core model responsibility is handed over to the Maintenance team.
- Ensure the choice of sustainable solutions and technological and functional monitoring within their area of responsibility.
Main Responsibilities
- Organize team activity with responsibility for quality of delivery and planning respected.
- Manage and report on own activity and team activity.
- Evaluate solution and promote standards.
- Gather customer requirements and draft functional specifications.
- Run integration and non‑regression tests and support UAT.
- Validate deliverables and check quality and compliance of the solution.
- Participate in cross‑functional projects.
Qualifications
- Master degree (BAC+5) in IT with minimum 15 years’ experience in SAP Finance maintenance and projects in an international context with excellent expertise of the FI‑GL, FI‑AR, FI‑AP and IM modules.
- Experience in highly interfaced ERP (Master data, AP, AR, TRY, Legal).
- Significant experience in team management such as Finance.
- Proven experience of integration with SaaS solutions in an SAP context.
- Participation in SAP deployment projects would be an appreciated added value.
- Mastery of the fundamentals of project management combining customizing and specific developments.
Other Requirements
He/she will need to work in a collaborative environment with the Finance team and other teams in the D&T Direction; he/she must be able to organize team activity, define priorities, manage peak activities, report appropriately to management, challenge requests and make proposals. The team size requires flexibility and autonomy to develop skills in new tools.
