Do you want to work on meaningful projects and actively contribute to the energy transition? Join Nordex, a leading wind energy company, as a Project Engineer Electrical / SCADA, and take part in the delivery of international wind farm projects.
Within the project organization, you act as the main technical reference for all electrical, control and SCADA‑related topics, supporting customers, grid operators and internal stakeholders throughout project execution.
The position is organizationally based in La Plaine Saint-Denis. The role includes regular travel to construction sites in France and abroad (Euro‑Mediterranean area).
Preferred starting date: from mid‑June.
YOUR FUTURE TASKS
- Providing technical support to customers and their representatives
- Designing medium voltage components for wind turbines
- Planning communication interfaces (I/O, IEC-101, IEC-104, OPC, SQL, Modbus, TCP/IP)
- Clarifying wind farm control concepts at the grid connection point
- Reviewing and following up technical requirements for permitting and regulatory compliance
- Aligning technically with customers, grid operators and suppliers
- Participating in energization and switching activities on site, with a strong focus on safety
- Supporting grid code compliance and testing activities
- Specifying project‑specific LV and MV solutions in collaboration with engineering and development teams
- Supporting commissioning processes and acceptance tests
- Providing technical support to Project Management and Sales teams
- Supporting the project certification process
- Working closely with Engineering, Sales, Purchasing and Service departments
In this role, you are the main point of contact for all electrical and SCADA topics, internally and externally, across your projects.
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Power Engineering, or comparable qualification
- The position is also open to experienced technician profiles (Bachelor level) with technical expertise
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial environment, preferably in the power generation sector
- Experience in measurement & control engineering and grid integration
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication and network technologies
YOUR SKILLS
- Fluent in English and French, written and spoken
- Ability to manage complex technical projects
- Good command of MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
- Independent, structured and solution‑oriented working style
- Experience in assessing and implementing technical and commercial contractual requirements
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments
- Willingness to travel to construction sites and abroad
- Driving licence required
