Project Engineer
As a Field Services Project Engineer, you will have a hybrid role that includes operational technical execution, engineering, and project management. The purpose of your role with these three different but interconnected areas of expertise is the successful completion of the project safely and flawlessly.
You will be assigned to the Steam Generators Business Unit and will primarily perform operational activities related to Steam Generator Chemical Cleaning and liquid waste treatment projects.
You will report hierarchically to the Operations Manager, while functionally working under the supervision of the Project Manager, Site Manager, or Shift Manager.
You will mainly work on French nuclear power plant sites, with opportunities to contribute to Westinghouse projects at other locations in France and abroad. You will be home-based, but your work requires 80 % time travel to sites.

- Maintain a questioning attitude and proactively identify, report, and manage deviations in accordance with procedures.
Below is a non-exhaustive list of duties and technical activities:
Operation activities:
- Handling and lifting of components and heavy equipment.
- Installation and connection of flexible hoses and piping systems.
- Execution of bolted joint assemblies in accordance with torque specifications.
- Transfer and unloading of chemical products under controlled conditions.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Inventory management, packaging, and securing of tools and materials.
- Work at height in compliance with applicable safety regulations.
- System alignment and operational checks (pump, boiler, compressor startup, valve operation, etc.).
- Monitoring and inspection of plant systems and equipment.
- Completion and documentation of intervention and maintenance records.
Engineering activities:
- Technical lead for design, manufacturing or equipment repair projects.
- Ensure regulatory compliance.
- Establishing technical specifications.
- Identification of improvement opportunities and contribution to experience feedback and lessons learned processes.
Project management:
- Assist the project manager and the site manager.
- Create and update the schedule.
- Create and update the project organization chart.
- Create purchase request.
- Monitor logistics such as transportation and spare parts availability.
- Establish the project final report.
Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies: Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineer
Education Level (Degree, Area of Study) – Minimum Requirement: bac +5 (Engineering)
Years of Experience: 3 to 5 years
Professional Certifications: SCN, RP, CSQ preferably in nuclear field
Skills and Competencies: SAP
