The Principal Consultant / Project Director is the senior client-facing leader accountable for overall programme strategy, governance, and delivery outcomes across the full headless commerce stack. This role owns the client relationship at C-level and director level, governs all three delivery workstreams — Adobe Commerce Saa
S, BFF/APIM middleware, and React
JS storefront — and is responsible for commercial performance, risk governance, and realisation of business value.
Responsibilities
- Own overall programme strategy, vision, and delivery accountability across Adobe Commerce Saa
S, BFF/APIM, and React
JS workstreams
- Lead executive and C-level stakeholder engagement on the client side (France-based)
- Chair programme governance forums — Steering Committee, Programme Board, and executive reviews
- Manage multi-vendor relationships including Adobe, Infosys delivery teams, and third-party Saa
S providers
- Own programme P&L, commercial performance, SOW governance, and change request management
- Drive cross-workstream dependency governance and escalation management
- Lead PI Planning participation at programme level and ensure ART alignment
- Own go-live readiness, launch governance, and post-go-live business stabilisation
- Translate technology delivery progress into business value and executive narrative
- Champion AI tooling adoption and establish governance for responsible AI use across the programme.
Experience
· 15 years in IT programme / delivery leadership; track record of leading large-scale e
Commerce or digital transformation programmes.
· Experience managing senior stakeholders in France or international environments
· PMP / Prince2 / MSP certification preferred; French language proficiency advantageous.
