Job Description (CDI)
We are currently looking for passionate people ready to make a difference in the following open position: Program Manager F/M/X, based in Lyon (7e).
In this role, the Program Manager will be responsible for leading the Life Cycle Management and some new products development projects. She/He will ensure the successful delivery of agreed quality, timeline, cost, and profitability objectives. Beyond project coordination, we are looking for someone who takes ownership, drives decisions, challenges priorities when necessary, and actively contributes to project direction and success.
The position reports to the Technical Product Director.
Key responsibilities
- Lead Life Cycle Management of our flagship ophthalmic platform from initiation to delivery, ensuring alignment on objectives, priorities, and deliverables.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams (R&D, Quality, Industrialization, Purchasing, Finance) and drive accountability.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks; implement mitigation plans and elevate critical issues when needed.
- Contribute to project strategy, technical decisions, and supplier selection while proactively challenging assumptions and improving project outcomes.
- Apply Nemera project management standards, tools, and governance processes.
- Lead project reviews, steering committees, and governance meetings.
- Ensure complete, accurate, and compliant project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project costs, forecasts and profitability in collaboration with Finance.
- Support RFQ and quotation activities through resource, CapEx, and OpEx estimations.
- Provide financial visibility and risk assessment to support decision‑making.
- Act as the main interface for internal and external stakeholders (design, plants, and customers)
- Collaborate with Marketing & Sales to manage customer expectations and commitments.
- Lead customer reviews and project status meetings, ensuring transparent communication and on‑time delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience in project management within R&D, innovation, product development or industrial environments.
- Experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical, healthcare or other regulated industries is a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of project management fundamentals including planning, risk management, reporting, budgeting and governance.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and lead multidisciplinary teams through influence rather than hierarchy.
- Proven ability to prioritize, drive execution and make recommendations in complex environments.
- Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders when needed.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English and French.
