Professional Services Engineer
The Role
We are looking for a Professional Services Engineer to support the deployment, configuration, adoption, and ongoing use of Hackuity’s vulnerability management platform across the Middle East.
You will work closely with customers’ cybersecurity, infrastructure, DevOps, cloud, and IT operations teams. Your role will combine strong technical delivery capabilities with practical cybersecurity expertise. You will help customers install and integrate the platform, particularly in Kubernetes-based environments, and ensure that they obtain measurable value from their vulnerability management processes.
This is a customer-facing role requiring the ability to operate independently, communicate with senior technical stakeholders, and translate complex cybersecurity and infrastructure topics into clear recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Customer deployment and architecture
- Lead and support customer deployments across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
- Assess customer infrastructure, security constraints, network architecture, authentication requirements, and operational processes.
- Design and document deployment architectures aligned with customer requirements.
- Install and configure Hackuity on Kubernetes and OpenShift environments using Helm 3 charts.
- Support deployments on customer-managed clusters, including Amazon EKS, Microsoft AKS, and Google GKE.
- Validate cluster prerequisites, sizing, namespaces, storage, ingress, firewall rules, DNS, certificates, secrets, and connectivity.
- Coordinate access to container registries, private registries, or customer proxies such as Artifactory.
- Support integrations with PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, identity providers, ITSM tools, vulnerability scanners, cloud platforms, and other security technologies.
- Assist customers with TLS configuration, internal certificate authorities, network segmentation, and secure communication between platform components.
- Contribute to installation guides, architecture documents, deployment runbooks, and operational handover materials.
Vulnerability management and cybersecurity expertise
- Help customers design or improve their vulnerability management and vulnerability operations processes.
- Understand vulnerability scanning, asset inventory, vulnerability normalization, risk-based prioritization, remediation workflows, and exception management.
- Configure the platform to consolidate findings from multiple security tools and provide a unified view of cyber risk.
- Help security teams prioritize remediation based on business context, exploitability, asset criticality, threat intelligence, and operational impact.
- Configure remediation workflows, dashboards, rules, campaigns, ownership models, and integrations with ticketing or orchestration platforms.
- Advise customers on collaboration between vulnerability management, SOC, infrastructure, application, and asset-owner teams.
- Deliver product demonstrations, technical workshops, onboarding sessions, and administrator training.
- Support customers in measuring improvements such as remediation time, critical vulnerability reduction, workflow automation, and risk visibility.
- Investigate customer issues, reproduce technical problems, and coordinate resolution with Product, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success teams.
Professional services delivery
- Participate in discovery workshops and translate customer requirements into technical delivery plans.
- Produce statements of work, implementation plans, project schedules, and technical acceptance criteria.
- Manage several customer engagements in parallel while maintaining clear priorities and documentation.
- Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and required customer actions.
- Work with local partners, distributors, MSSPs, and systems integrators when required.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer adoption, expand use cases, and increase platform value.
- Capture customer feedback and share product improvement recommendations internally.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Hackuity’s professional services methodology and delivery assets.
Technical Environment
The successful candidate should be comfortable working with some or most of the following:
- Kubernetes architecture and administration; Red Hat OpenShift.
- Helm 3, Kubernetes manifests, container images, registries, image pull secrets, and private registry proxies.
- Amazon EKS, Microsoft AKS, and Google GKE.
- Ingress controllers, DNS, TLS certificates, internal certificate authorities, and firewall rules.
- Kubernetes namespaces, deployments, services, persistent volumes, secrets, and resource sizing.
- PostgreSQL and OpenSearch or Elasticsearch technologies.
- Linux administration and shell scripting.
- REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and system integrations.
- SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP, and role-based access control.
- ITSM and workflow platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira.
- CI/CD concepts, infrastructure automation, observability, logs, metrics, troubleshooting, and incident analysis.
- Cloud and hybrid infrastructure security.
