Professional Chorus Alto 1

The Dijon Opera is seeking a professional alto singer capable of performing in the Alto 1 position. Auditions will take place on August 31 and September 1, 2026, starting at 10 AM each day at the Dijon Auditorium. Candidates can select the date that works best for them. The deadline to register for auditions is August 25, 2026. The position is full-time, starting in February 2027, with salary determined by the candidate's experience according to the French collective bargaining agreement for art institutions.Audition requirements include performing an opera aria, a choir part from Poulenc's 'Stabat Mater', and a vocalise by Rossini in the first round. The second round will involve decoding a melody and performing a different aria. The final round will consist of a rehearsal with the alto choir and an interview with the jury.
