École Jeannine Manuel Lille is an international school located just outside Lille, in one of Europe's most dynamic and cosmopolitan regions. The position we are offering
English-speaking Science Teacher
Starting in January
Métropole Lilloise - Marcq-En-Baroeul
You will join a dedicated team of educators committed to nurturing curiosity, academic rigor, and student well-being in a truly international environment.
Your main responsibilities
- Teach Science across middle school (multidisciplinary), high school Physics/Chemistry, and IB Chemistry.
- Design engaging, inquiry-based lessons that foster curiosity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and personalized support.
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to promote interdisciplinary and innovative learning.
- Take part in the wider life of the school through meetings, projects, and extracurricular activities.
What we are looking for
Native (or mother tongue) English speaker.
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Science.
Recognized teaching qualification (QTS, GTP, or equivalent).
Relevant classroom experience and strong communication skills.
A plus:
- Experience with the IB Diploma Programme.
- Background in teaching secondary science.
- Familiarity with inquiry- or problem-based learning approaches.
- Some French language skills (helpful, but not required).
