Production Welding Specialist

Our client, Velan , is a leading manufacturer of industrial valves serving highly specialized industries. The company is seeking a Production Welding Specialist to support its operations in Montreal .

Your Role

As the welding subject matter expert, you will provide technical guidance to production teams to ensure quality, compliance, and continuous improvement of welding processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize welding processes and practices;
• Troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes of welding defects;
• Ensure compliance with welding standards and procedures;
• Support production teams in achieving quality and productivity objectives;
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams.

Profile Sought

• DEP in Welding and Fitting (or equivalent relevant training);
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing welding;
• Proficiency in multiple welding processes (GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW, or PAW);
• Knowledge of welding codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, and military specifications is considered an asset;
• Ability to interpret WPS/PQR documentation and technical drawings;
• Bilingualism in French and English.
