Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring production transfers and serial manufacturing activities run smoothly by working directly with 1st-tier supply chains and internal manufacturing sites. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Commodity Management, Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Regional Stakeholders), develop and implement production improvements, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of transfer planning, budgeting, and risk mitigation, but also support production start-ups and ongoing deliveries.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Becoming the primary point of contact for technical topics with allocated suppliers and facilitating internal traffic related to production.
  • Providing first-line support for resolving day-to-day manufacturing issues.
  • Conducting value stream mapping, SWIP, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement activities.
  • Implementing production improvements and identifying opportunities for process efficiency.
  • Developing and maintaining processes for supplier problem reporting.
  • Supporting sourcing and supplier quality teams during performance and quality crises.
  • Leading technical RFQ qualification processes in collaboration with commodity management and industrial operations teams.
  • Contributing to industrial standards requirements and standardization.
  • Executing risk mitigation activities and facilitating transfer of technology maturity reviews.

All about you

  • Degree in process engineering, electronics, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience or understanding of special processes, such as electronics assembly, mechanical production, or box builds.
  • Basic knowledge of railway signalling and/or infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with engineering development and global team collaboration.
  • A functional testing methodology or design-for-manufacturing background (desirable).
  • Ability to build strong networks across the business.
  • Good communication skills and verbal/written English proficiency.
  • Structured, adaptable, and able to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience with continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen and value stream mapping.
  • Availability for travel to internal and external sites.

Things you’ll enjoy

  • Join us on a life‑long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:
  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.
  • Work with cutting‑edge technology and new security standards for rail signalling.
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues.
  • Contribute to innovative projects that make a real impact.

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.
  • Benefit from our investment in your development through award‑winning learning programs.
  • Progress towards leadership or specialized roles in production engineering.
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
