The organization is an international passenger airline dedicated to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational reliability across its flight operations. The carrier operates under EASA/Part 145 regulatory frameworks and relies on a structured Technical Directorate to ensure total fleet airworthiness, continuous operational performance, and flight punctuality.

2. Scope

  • Hierarchy : Reports directly to the Technical Director (Directeur Technique).
  • Role Purpose : Serve as the central operational pivot to lead, coordinate, and monitor all maintenance production activities (line, base, and workshop maintenance) to guarantee fleet availability, safety, airworthiness, and regulatory compliance.

3. Key Responsibilities

  • Production Steering & Operational Coordination : Plan and supervise line, base, and workshop maintenance activities; prioritize tasks in real time according to operational emergencies, fleet availability, and available resources.
  • MCC & Operations Collaboration : Intervene during technical issues and AOG/critical fault situations upon request from the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) to resolve breakdowns and minimize flight delays.
  • Compliance, Quality & Safety : Ensure strict compliance with EASA Part 145 regulations, internal procedures, and technical documentation (AMM, CMM, SRM, MEL/CDL, SB/AD). Promote a Just Culture framework and partner with Quality & Safety teams for audits, SMS risk analyses, and incident investigations.
  • Team Management & Capability Building : Supervise, mentor, and evaluate team leaders, technicians, and MCC supervisors; identify training needs, drive technical skill development, and assist in recruiting technical talent.
  • Resource Management & Continuous Improvement : Optimize human, material, and logistics resources; oversee tool and equipment availability; track line and workshop maintenance KPIs; and update production department procedures.

4. Qualifications

  • Education : Master's or Bachelor's degree (Bac+3 to Bac+5 level) in Aeronautical Maintenance, Mechanical/Avionics Engineering, Technical Sciences, or equivalent.
  • 5 to 10 years of proven experience in aeronautical maintenance, including significant operational exposure to line maintenance and/or workshops.
  • Solid, demonstrated track record working within a EASA Part 145 regulatory environment.
  • Prior experience coordinating with MCC, Technical/CAMO offices, workshops, and Flight Operations (OPS/CCO) is highly desirable.
  • In-depth understanding of EASA Part 145 , CAMO fundamentals, ICAO/EASA SMS requirements, and Part 145 documentation closure/traceability procedures.
  • Hands-on proficiency with aircraft maintenance management software (AMASIS, TRAX, OASES, SAP, or equivalent), digital technical tools (MOE/MOI, E-logbooks), and technical documentation.
  • Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and objective analytical skills under time constraints, paired with a structured, detail-oriented approach to maintaining aviation safety and quality standards.
