Production Director

We are supporting a growing CDMO site seeking a Production Director to lead manufacturing operations. The site is experiencing significant volume growth driven by new business wins, expansion of sterile capacity and a strong pipeline of new product introductions.

This is a senior leadership role and a key member of the Site Leadership Team, with full responsibility for production across multiple GMP manufacturing lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all production operations across sterile and non-sterile production, with additional sterile capacity being added
• Drive operational performance across safety, quality, delivery and cost
• Scale manufacturing capability in line with increasing volumes and new product introductions
• Build, develop and lead high-performing production teams
• Ensure full GMP compliance and inspection readiness across all operations
• Partner closely with Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering and Tech Services to ensure aligned site delivery
• Drive continuous improvement across throughput, yield and OTIF performance
• Own production planning inconjuction with Supply Chain, headcount and resource strategy in line with site growth

Candidate Profile

• Proven leadership experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing (CDMO experience strongly preferred)
• Strong background in GMP production environments, ideally sterile / injectables
• Experience managing multi-line, high-volume manufacturing operations
• Track record of scaling operations and supporting site growth or expansion
• Experience supporting tech transfer and new product introduction into manufacturing
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to develop teams and drive accountability
