For our Woippy site, where CLAAS balers are manufactured, we are currently looking for an Product Unit Purchaser, reporting to the Head of PU-Purchasing.

Your role in our team:

• You are a member of the PU Purchasing Team in Global Purchasing Organization as well as a member of one Product Unit Team.
• Responsible for support of Q-C-T target achievement for dedicated Product Unit, especially for purchasing related processes and components.
• Coordination of PU Purchasing interfaces – e.g. Global Purchasing Organization, Quality Management, Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering.
• Coordinate appropriate release planning and APQP’s for purchased developmental components.
• Coordinate early integration of purchasing and suppliers into CPDP.
• Budgeting and controlling for tooling cost for purchase components.
• Drive “Product Cost Optimization” activities especially for purchasing related topics and support target cost achievement.
• Ensure Purchasing inputs to machine LoD and drive creation of component LoD for cost drivers for concept days, RfQ and supplier selection.
• Coordinate availability of target costs for all critical components for supplier selection.
• Participation in all relevant Product Unit, Purchasing and CPDP related committees.

Your profile:

• Academic Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration.
• Beneficially minimum of 3 years working experience in purchasing role for developmental components.
• Broad technical basic knowledge and understanding.
• Knowledge of product development and supplier qualification processes and tools (e.g. APQP).
• Experience in project management of cross functional teams.
• Hands on experience in MS Office and SAP.
• Good analytical and numeracy skills.
• Good communication skills / open-minded personality interested in acting in multi-cultural environment.
• Structured and self-sufficient working style.
• Experience in collaborating within matrix organization under respect of functional guidance desirable.
• Fluent in English and French, German are a plus.
