Product Sales Manager
The Product Sales Manager (PSM) is a sales professional who is highly motivated, results‑driven, and possesses technical proficiency. Their main objective is to promote and increase sales of 3D optical technology within their designated territory, develop and nurture strong relationships with customers, identify new sales opportunities, and provide the necessary technical and commercial expertise to expand the company’s market presence with these products.
Responsibilities
- Engage new and existing customers to achieve sales booking objectives.
- Identify and create new sales opportunities to expand the company’s market presence, especially into large, complex corporations with multi‑step, consultative sales processes and extended sales cycles.
- Manage and travel a large territory within the PSM’s region.
- Identify and share leads with other sales teams and channels to maximize sales potential.
- Explore innovative ways to support customers and provide exceptional service; collaborate with various departments to ensure a seamless customer experience and take ownership of customer success.
- Collaborate closely with our technical team to deliver top‑notch product and solution demonstrations.
- Follow the ZEISS sales process to propose the best solution for the customer’s needs.
- Support sales and marketing events to promote our products and engage with potential customers.
- Keep our CRM system updated with all sales activities, relationships, and the status of sales leads and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. A background in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred.
- 2‑5 years of proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the field of metrology or precision measurement systems.
- Must have a valid US driver’s license.
