About Timeleft

Timeleft is a social app that brings strangers together. We match people into groups of 6 and send them to restaurants, cafés, and bars for dinners, drinks, coffees, and runs. Every week, 150,000+ people use Timeleft across 200+ cities in 52 countries. We're 100 employees and growing fast.

We ship new formats, open new markets, and evolve the product constantly - but we're moving faster than the bridge between what we build and how people hear about it, understand it, and show up for it. We need someone to own that bridge: turn customer signal into positioning, structure how launches reach the market, and bring the customer voice into every decision. That's where you come in.

About The Role

The Product Marketing Manager sits between Product, Operations and Marketing. Four things sit on your plate:

  • Positioning and go-to-market for our product features and new experiences
  • Customer insight. Running research, synthesising the customer voice, and turning it into recommendations everyone acts on
  • Roadmap influence. Feeding market, customer and competitive signal into Product and Operations so we build the right formats, launch in the right markets, and prioritise the right things
  • Building our AI operating model within marketing. Automations, a shared brain, an AI-native way of operating that scales the function without scaling headcount

Reports to the Brand & Content Lead.

Key Responsibilities

Product Marketing and Launches

  • Read product and technical documentation and turn it into positioning briefs and marketing plans the channels can act on
  • Own how features and new experiences get positioned and communicated to users
  • Support go-to-market decisions on launches: which markets, what sequencing, what timing
  • Every marketing asset tied to a launch ships on time

Customer Insight

  • Own the customer research program: interviews, surveys, listening, synthesis
  • Build the case study bank of real customers, their journeys, and what their story tells us
  • Turn insight into recommendations the team can act on. Not reports; recommendations
  • Feed the customer voice into positioning, launches, and everything the team makes

Roadmap Influence

  • Bring customer, market and competitive signal into Product and Operations to shape the roadmap
  • What formats we should launch and why. What markets we should expand into. What segments we should build for
  • Ongoing competitive research and benchmarking. Not "what are they doing"; "what should we do differently and why"
  • A seat at the roadmap conversation. You do not own the roadmap; you make it sharper

AI Operating Model for Marketing

  • Build the AI operating model the marketing team runs inside. Automations, a shared brain, agentic workflows
  • Architect how the team uses AI at scale. Not "which tool should we buy"; "how should this function operate in an AI-native way"
  • Ship the workflows that compress recurring work across the team: reporting, brief formatting, competitive research, cross-team status
  • Bring an AI operating architecture to the wider function, not just your own workflows

About You

  • Product marketing background at a consumer subscription or consumer app business. You have positioned and launched features that people used
  • Customer research chops. You have run interview and survey programmes and turned them into recommendations that changed decisions
  • Roadmap influence track record. You have brought customer or competitive signal into a Product team and can name three decisions that changed because of your work
  • AI-native at the architecture level. You do not just use LLMs; you have designed how a team uses AI. Automations, agentic workflows, a shared knowledge base. You think in operating models, not tools
  • Startup pace comfort. High-growth environment, shifting priorities, ambiguous inputs. You build the order everyone else relies on
  • App-based product experience. You understand the difference between a feature launch on an app versus a website
  • Systems thinker. You build repeatable process. Every time you solve something, you write down how so no one solves it again
  • Prioritisation muscle. You cut, you sequence, you say no. Not everything gets a launch plan
  • Cross-functional trust. Product takes you seriously. Operations takes you seriously

What This Role Is NOT

  • Not the brand voice or positioning owner. The Brand & Content Lead owns Timeleft's brand positioning; you own product-level positioning within that frame
  • Not a copywriter. You brief; the Content Studio and copywriters produce
  • Not a growth marketer or channel owner. Acquisition sits with the channel owners
  • Not the product roadmap owner. Product owns the roadmap. You influence it with customer and market signal
  • Not a project manager. Project management is how you deliver; product marketing is the identity

What's In It For You

Ownership of the Product Marketing bridge at a consumer app growing fast

Real roadmap influence. Formats, markets, features. Your customer and m
