Role & context :

At Chanel, the digital transformation of our operational and management models is accelerating, especially within our Digital Europe teams.

As the BI Product Manager for the Sales & Channel Management domain, you will be a key player within a rapidly evolving Data & Analytics team, organized around groups of data domains to better meet the needs of our internal partners.

You will be responsible for defining, rationalizing, and building the dashboard, reporting, and self-service BI offer for strategic Sales & Channel Management & Performance topics. Your mission is to ensure the availability of robust, innovative, and tailored decision-making tools that support Chanel’s commercial performance at every level.

The squad currently manages two legacy SSIS cubes supporting self-service use cases, as well as around one hundred reports used by more than 2,000 users, including Top Management and key business performance stakeholders.

As a key member to our Data & AI Factory, you will be reporting to the Data & AI manager and lead a multidisciplinary squad of BI Analysts and Data Engineers. You will work closely with Tech teams (and specifically the Lead Data engineer), Sales and Channel Management domain experts, market teams, and Global teams to ensure coherence, relevance, and complementarity of solutions.

You will operate within an agile framework, overseeing the full BI product lifecycle — from business needs discovery to continuous improvement — always striving to maximize business value.

Your main missions :

  • Lead a squad of BI Data Analysts and Data Engineers in an agile, Scrum-like environment.
  • Foster a climate of trust, innovation, and technical excellence, cultivating an entrepreneurial, proactive, and value-driven mindset.
  • Coordinate and prioritize the squad’s activities between product evolution, legacy rationalization, and run activities.
  • Support the continuous optimization of the support model, currently handling approximately 300 tickets per month with dedicated run resources.
  • Identify recurring issues, improvement opportunities, and automation levers to always augment the satisfaction of our users.

Product Management

  • Define the vision, roadmap, and backlog for the Sales & Channel Management reporting and self-service BI offer.
  • Lead the progressive rationalization of the existing legacy landscape, including the two SSIS cubes and the current reporting portfolio.
  • Assess the business value, usage, relevance, and maintenance cost of each report in order to reduce the legacy offer to the most valuable and necessary solutions.
  • Design and develop a new generation of reporting and self-service BI products that are intuitive, scalable, reliable, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Prioritize development efforts based on business impact and the needs of key stakeholders, including Top Management, performance teams, market teams, and sales leaders.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, accessibility, and relevance across all BI solutions.
  • Monitor adoption, usage, user satisfaction, and support trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Anticipate business needs and translate them into a clear, actionable, and sustainable BI product strategy.
  • Maintain active awareness of BI trends, data visualization, self-service BI practices, and data governance within the Sales and Retail domains.
  • Act as the key interface between Europe and Global teams across Sales, Retail, Performance, Channel Management, and related business functions to ensure alignment and share best practices.
  • Build trusted relationships with business lines, market teams, and users, acting as a change facilitator and proactive partner.
  • Work closely with Tech teams to design the best technical solutions, ensuring that products are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Chanel’s data architecture.
  • Drive communication around product vision, roadmap, priorities, changes, and adoption, adapting messages to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What impact you create at Chanel :

Your role will be essential in transforming a complex and legacy BI landscape into a streamlined, valuable, and future-ready reporting and self-service offer.

By simplifying the existing portfolio and developing high-value BI products, you will enable more than 2,000 users — including Top Management and commercial performance stakeholders — to access clear, reliable, and actionable insights.

Your dashboards and self-service tools will empower decision-making at all levels, directly contributing to Chanel’s commercial performance, operational efficiency, and data-driven culture across Europe.

You are passionate about Retail, Sales performance, digital transformation, and creating BI solutions that make a tangible difference for users.

What you will bring :

  • At least 5 years of significant experience in BI product management, ideally within Sales, Retail, Channel Management, Performance Management, Wholesale, or related domains.
  • A strong understanding of the Retail environment, commercial performance indicators, and the decision-making needs of sales and management teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English, with the ability to make technical subjects accessible to non-specialists and senior stakeholders.
  • Recognized leadership, rigor, diplomacy, and the ability to drive projects forward in international matrix environments.
  • A strong product vision applied to BI, with demonstrated ability to define roadmaps, manage backlogs, prioritize according to value, and anticipate business needs.
  • Mastery of agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, with the ability to facilitate squad rituals and foster continuous improvement.
  • Solid expertise in data visualization, dashboard design, and data storytelling, with proven experience in developing reporting and self-service BI offers.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or equivalent solutions.

  • Experience managing high-volume support activities and identifying opportunities to optimize processes, reduce recurring incidents, and improve user autonomy.
  • Experience in international or corporate/global environments; knowledge of SQL and self-service BI implementation are strong assets.
