Product Engineer - Semiconductor / SoC / RTL / GUI / React / TypeScript

RequireTech Resources is seeking for one of its leading Semiconductor clients a Product Engineer specialised in the field of EDA (Electronic Design Automation) and more specifically the assembly and integration of complex System-on-Chips (SoCs).

About the Role

You will notably be responsible for the Graphical User Interface (GUI) design and will help shape the user experience of their next-generation product. You will define, specify, and help implement powerful, scalable features that enable chip architects and SoC designers to efficiently use our products. This position requires a unique combination of technical understanding of semiconductor design flows, strong product thinking, and expertise in modern UI/UX principles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product management, developers, and architects to write detailed and comprehensive specifications for new features and product enhancements related to their products especially GUI-related features.
• Design, implement, and validate functional prototypes or mock-ups of new features and functionalities.
• Work iteratively to refine concepts based on internal and external feedbacks.
• Engage and communicate with customers and internal teams to gather feedback on product features. Ensure that feedback is incorporated into the specification and prototyping stages to improve product usability and functionality.
• Ensure that new features are delivered on time and meet customer needs.
• Contribute hands‑on to UX design when appropriate.
• Demonstrate experience with scripting languages, such as Python.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide input on product management.
• Support product management in roadmap planning and feature prioritization.
• Write and maintain user manuals, technical documentation, and release notes.
• Be familiar with modern tools for specifications/documentation, tasks and project tracking (like Confluence and Jira).

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in semiconductor design/verification, EDA tools, and/or complex engineering software.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor design flows (RTL, SoC architecture, IP integration, verification, performance analysis, etc.).
• Proven experience in designing and specifying graphical user interfaces for complex technical products.
• Experience with modern front-end technologies (like React and Typescript).
• Ability to write clear and structured product specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Microelectronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
