TOULOUSE, 31
il y a 3 jours

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Procurement Sustainability Officer (m/f) to join the Procurement department based in Toulouse. You will join the Procurement Sustainability department, a cornerstone of our future‑ready industrial transformation. Within this department, our goal is to design, lead, and unlock the full potential of our Sustainable Supply Chain Roadmap (SSCR) to de‑risk current operational flows and actively prepare our procurement ecosystem for future milestones up to 2030 and beyond. The modern industrial landscape is marked by immense challenges: massive production ramp‑ups, rapidly evolving substance regulations, and the inherent complexity of maintaining business continuity while driving long‑term value chain circularity. As part of this team, your assignment will be highly collaborative, working within a matrix mission where we interface across all divisions, affiliates, and key external industry bodies such as the IAEG and the Airbus Supplier Sustainability Council (ASSC). Acting under the lead of the Resource and Material Stream Leader, you will have a high focus on substance transparency, anticipation, obsolescence, and de‑risking management.

Location: Toulouse – the global capital of aeronautics and the European capital for space research. The city offers a dynamic environment with access to an international airport, proximity to the Mediterranean and Atlantic oceans, and nearby outdoor activities.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Financial rewards: attractive salary, success and profit sharing schemes, employee savings plan, and a voluntary stock purchase plan.
  • Work/Life balance: extra days‑off for special occasions, holiday transfer option, and access to a staff council offering social, cultural, and sporting activities.
  • Wellbeing & Health: complementary health insurance coverage (disability, invalidity, death), and on‑site health services, concierge services, gym, and carpooling application depending on the site.
  • Individual development: upskilling opportunities and unlimited access to over 10,000 e‑learning courses, certifications, expert career paths, accelerated development programmes, and national and international mobility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & guide: provide permanent expertise, guidance, and support to Procurement employees and suppliers; cascade critical information via clear directives, guidelines, and custom‑built training programs.
  • De‑risk & anticipate: manage the Foundation Program, execute day‑to‑day risk management, identify regulatory infringements, monitor obsolescence, and implement corrective actions to safeguard operational continuity.
  • Drive transformation: lead specific strategic initiatives and work‑packages to ensure long‑term value chain circularity and prepare the procurement ecosystem for upcoming environmental milestones.
  • Unify the front: identify synergies across diverse Procurement divisions and affiliates to ensure a single, unified corporate front toward our global supplier network.
  • Industry diplomacy: act as the Procurement representative in key multi‑functional teams and, when required, represent Airbus in prestigious external aerospace forums (e.g., IAEG, GIFAS, ASSC) to advocate for substance usage and develop shared industry standards.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Procurement, Engineering, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), or a technical discipline with an understanding of how substance regulations impact aerospace products and processes.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably within Airbus or a similar complex, highly regulated transnational manufacturing environment.
  • Good knowledge of procurement organization and activities, combined with strong project management experience and technical curiosity to dive deep into chemical/substance regulations and administrative compliance dossiers.
  • ‘Connector’ and ‘Team Player’ with excellent stakeholder management skills, strong interpersonal communication, and a proven talent for fostering positive dynamics and managing change.

Global Mobility: Fluency in English (German and/or French is a strong plus) and a willingness to travel (~20%) to stay connected with our global production sites.

Not a 100% match? No worries! Airbus supports your personal growth with customized development solutions.
