Procurement Specialist - Electrical (Chargé de projets achats électrique H/F)

Become part of a winning team and help to deliver the Green Energy transition in GE Vernova Hydro Power. Based in our office in Grenoble France, The EMEA Region Lead Procurement Specialist will drive the execution of electrical purchase orders with European suppliers.
The role will entail close alignment with Engineering, Quality, Planning and Sourcing functions, as well as other key stakeholders, and will be focusing on long-lead-time electrical systems. You'll manage dynamic priorities, necessitating minimal guidance, and emphasize effective communication with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and suppliers.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead follow-up activities for long-lead critical purchase orders (POs) in EPC hydroelectric power plant projects.
- Manage supplier relationships throughout PO execution.
- Address progress issues and schedule changes to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain the ERP system with accurate and up-to-date forecasts.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier payments.
- Resolve issues using established procedures and technical expertise.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and other stakeholders to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
- Lead discussions with suppliers during execution regarding claims, scope changes, and related matters, in coordination with Project Teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline from a reputable university.
- 6–12 years of experience in engineering, sourcing, and/or manufacturing of electrical and/or mechanical systems in project-based business environments.
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, well-organized, and adaptable.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, and other office productivity software.
- Experience with contract execution in Procure-to-Pay processes using SAP-based ERP systems.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Desired Characteristics
- Experience with electrical commodities for power plants.
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline from a reputable university.
- Knowledge of French or German is an asset.
- Experience in the energy industry, particularly hydropower projects, is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability and ownership to drive improvements and change with tangible results.
- Strong aptitude for working in a global environment and matrix organization.
