With a team of 340+ and a €115 M Series C round, we’re rapidly scaling across Europe.
About The Job
We’re looking for a Procurement Specialist to operate, optimise and scale our procurement practice as Alma grows in France and across Europe. The role offers ownership of a mature function, an annual spend of roughly €10 M, and the chance to impact performance through supplier management and continuous improvement.
Main Missions
- Operate strategic sourcing and negotiations.
- Lead end‑to‑end tender processes (RFQ/RFP) across all spend categories.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure optimal terms (pricing, SLAs, payment terms, exit clauses).
- Conduct market intelligence and benchmarking to ensure competitive positioning.
- Manage supplier selection in collaboration with internal stakeholders, ensuring data‑driven decision‑making.
- Act as a procurement business partner and support all departments with advisory and hands‑on sourcing assistance.
- Manage Payflows workflow and ensure compliance with spend thresholds (50 k €) and approval processes.
- Facilitate cross‑functional projects requiring procurement involvement (e.g., PoCs, pilot programs, new tool evaluations).
- Serve as the procurement point of contact for operational teams with external stakeholders.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, overseeing top suppliers that represent 80 % of Alma’s spend.
- Monitor supplier performance, address operational challenges or service quality issues, and support operational teams.
- Ensure contractual compliance and proactively manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations to avoid disruptions.
- Partner with Legal to maintain an up‑to‑date contract repository with all key supplier agreements.
- Drive continuous improvement and insights; optimise procurement processes based on feedback, pain points, and business evolution.
- Develop advanced analytics and reporting to provide spend visibility and actionable insights to Finance and leadership.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities through spend analysis, category strategies, and supplier consolidation.
- Support emerging topics such as AI vendor evaluation and European expansion sourcing needs.
Internal Stakeholders
- All department leads and managers.
- Finance team (FP&A, Accounting, Treasury).
- Legal & Compliance teams for contract review.
External Stakeholders
- Current and prospective suppliers across all categories.
- Industry peers for benchmarking and RFP information.
About You – Hard Skills and Experience
- 3‑5 years of professional experience in indirect procurement, ideally in a corporate or scale‑up environment.
- Proven track record of leading tenders (RFQ/RFP), negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in spend analysis and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Familiarity with P2P tools (Payflows or equivalent) and procurement best practices.
- Experience working cross‑functionally and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
About You – Soft Skills and Mindset
- Curiosity & business acumen – deeply understand business needs, market dynamics and supplier landscapes.
- Operational excellence – hands‑on, detail‑oriented and capable of executing end‑to‑end sourcing projects.
- Autonomy & ownership – initiate, manage priorities independently and drive projects to completion.
- Impact‑oriented – focus on tangible results and business value, not just process compliance.
- Communication & influence – build strong relationships, negotiate effectively and communicate clearly in French and English.
- Adaptability – comfortable with diverse tasks, evolving priorities and a fast‑growing environment.
- Integrity – ethical conduct and transparency are non‑negotiable in supplier interactions.
