Process Integration Internship H/F

Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems. Our quantum computer will be based on a new kind of superconducting qubit called the Schrödinger cat qubit, which can implement quantum error correction autonomously.

We are looking for a motivated and talented Process Integration Intern to join our team for a 6‑month internship starting in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the industrialization of quantum‑computing hardware by supporting the development and optimization of data‑acquisition and analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze fabrication and measurement data: extract and interpret data from nanofabrication processes and electrical measurements to assess performance, frequency‑targeting uniformity, and junction consistency in superconducting circuits.
• Contribute to process transfer and equipment validation: evaluate the transfer of fabrication processes by analysing wafer data and verifying alignment with target specifications. Support the validation of new tools by analysing test wafer results, identifying deviations, and recommending adjustments or follow‑up experiments.
• Documentation: maintain clear, organized records of analyses, pipelines, methodologies, and improvement proposals. Prepare internal reports and present findings to the engineering team when needed.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Engineering or Physics, or an equivalent engineering school diploma.
• Strong interest in data analysis and characterization.
• Familiarity with data‑analysis tools and software such as JMP and Python.
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced, cutting‑edge environment.
• Hands‑on experience with characterization equipment (AFM, optical microscope) and processes is a plus.
• Understanding of SQL databases is a plus.
