  • Permanent full-time contract (CDI) based on 213 working days per year, including the annual solidarity day.
  • Executive status (Cadre), coefficient 400 under the Chemical Industries Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCN).
  • Start date: As soon as possible.
  • Annual salary: EUR 60,000-EUR 70,000 depending on experience and profile.
  • November bonus equivalent to 50% of one monthly base salary, pro-rated according to time worked during the year.
  • Remote working: 24 days per year.

Why Are We Recruiting?

As part of its growth and sustainability strategy, a global industrial company is investing in a new activated carbon reactivation and recycling facility in Vierzon. The Process Engineer will play a key role in commissioning, optimization, and the future development of two production sites in Vierzon.

Role Overview

This highly autonomous position is suited to an engineer who enjoys working in a collaborative, agile, people-sized organization. The successful candidate will act as a true project owner, from design through implementation, commissioning, and handover to operations.

The role combines process engineering, operational support, continuous improvement, and project management across two industrial sites.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide process engineering expertise to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
  • Monitor and optimize process performance, productivity, quality, and operating costs.
  • Lead root cause analyses and troubleshooting activities.
  • Participate in the commissioning and ramp-up of the new reactivation facility.
  • Lead continuous improvement, energy efficiency, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S initiatives.
  • Manage or support CAPEX projects across both industrial sites.
  • Coordinate suppliers, contractors, engineering firms, and internal teams.
  • Train operators and ensure effective transfer of technical knowledge.
  • Conduct technology monitoring, evaluate alternatives to existing equipment to improve processes, and develop new project opportunities.

Recruitment Process

  • Initial interview via Microsoft Teams.
  • On-site interview with the EMEA Operations Director, Plant Manager, and Human Resources Manager.
  • A site tour is included during the final interview.
  • A decision will be communicated within 15 days following the interview.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the chemical industry.
  • Proven experience in process optimization, troubleshooting, and performance improvement.
  • Experience commissioning industrial facilities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing CAPEX projects.
  • Experience with solids handling, thermal processes, recycling, regeneration, or gas treatment is highly desirable.
