This role sits within the Client Services team at an asset manager, a four-person unit embedded within the broader Business Development function. Acting as a primary point of contact for French and European clients, the team coordinates responses to client requests by drawing on the expertise of internal departments across the firm. The position offers strong exposure to the full operating model of an asset management business and is well suited to an early-career professional looking to build a broad foundation in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and follow up on requests from French and European clients, including institutional investors, distributors, and cross-border distribution platforms.
- Work closely with sales teams in France and across Europe to support client needs.
- Coordinate with internal teams including portfolio management, ESG, reporting, RFP, legal, operations, risk, and compliance.
- Support the launch and ongoing lifecycle management of dedicated funds and mandates.
- Maintain and update client files and documentation.
- Participate in internal and external meetings as a representative of the Client Services function.
- Coordinate distribution agreements and oversee their legal and operational follow-up.
- Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of team procedures.
Skills & Experience
- Master's degree (Bac +4 or +5) in Banking, Finance, or Asset Management, or an equivalent qualification.
- A solid understanding of the asset management industry is required; prior experience in an asset management environment within RFP, marketing, or sales functions is expected.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work with rigour and method.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach to taking initiative.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesise complex information clearly.
- Fluent English is required; the role involves regular interaction with European counterparts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
