Private Credit Investment Vice President

Private Credit Overview
As a committed and responsible investor, Eiffel Investment Group was the first European asset manager to launch a private debt fund that systematically applies sustainability impact covenants. With a mission to support the development of European SMEs and Mid-Caps, the Private Credit Investment team manages c. €4 billion on behalf of major institutional investors.
Since 2017, the Private Credit strategy has aimed to support companies of all sizes, listed and unlisted, over the long term providing tailored financing to support borrowers in their growth strategy.
Comprising 20 members based in Paris , Amsterdam and Milan , the Private Credit team originates and analyzes financing opportunities, structures transactions and monitors the companies it has financed. Eiffel’s Private Credit team is providing unitranche and senior financing for European lower mid & mid-market companies.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to take on senior responsibility within Eiffel’s fast-growing Private Credit strategy. The Associate / Vice President will take ownership across origination, execution and portfolio management , leading complex private credit transactions from sourcing to closing while working alongside senior investment professionals, a clear path to greater responsibility as the platform develops.
Job description: Private Credit Investment Vice President in Paris
As a member of the Investment team, the Associate/Vice President will play a leading role in the development and growth of the Private Credit platform, with ownership of origination.
Origination
- Identification and screening of Private Credit investment opportunities incl. credit analysis and deal flow monitoring.
- Active participation in origination efforts and development of relationships with leading intermediaries (debt and M&A advisors, investment banks) and private equity funds.
- Act as a point of contact for peer-level professionals at sponsor firms, advisory firms and management teams.
Analysis and execution of transactions
- Analysis of opportunities from a strategic, financial and extra-financial point of view.
- Taking ownership of deal processes and workstreams including internal and external Due Diligences.
- Negotiation and structuring of financing with sponsors and advisors.
- Definition of extra-financial roadmap.
- Drafting of investment notes and participation in Eiffel's investment committees.
- Ongoing monitoring of portfolio companies’ financial and sustainability performance.
- Monitoring of reporting commitments:
- Regular interaction with management teams and support in meeting financial and sustainability commitments.
Investor relations management
- Support fundraising activities, incl. preparation of investor presentation and due diligence materials.
- Contribution to quarterly investor reports.
- Participation in meetings with investors and handling follow-up requests.
Your profile:
In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:
- Master’s degree from a leading higher education institution.
- ~6-8 years of relevant experience in Private Credit, Leveraged Finance, M&A or Transaction Services; with prior experience in Private Credit required.
- Strong analytical & financial modelling skills and detail-oriented
- Demonstrated drive and strong extracurricular or academic achievements.
- Organised, ability to prioritise and work on different streams in parallel.
- Team player with a proactive, hands-on mindset, able to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrate an interest in impact investing.
- Fluent in English and French; additional European language is a plus.
