Principal System Engineer
NXP Semiconductors France is seeking a Principal System Engineer to lead the architectural definition, design, and implementation of complex embedded systems, ensuring cutting-edge performance and reliability for our next-generation semiconductor products.
The preferred candidate is mid level experienced system engineer with prior work expertise in system engineering, modeling, performance study, etc
Job Responsibilities
Lead the system-level architecture definition and design for new semiconductor products, encompassing hardware, software, and firmware aspects.
Conduct detailed system analysis, requirements gathering, and specification development, translating product requirements into technical solutions.
Perform feasibility studies, trade-off analyses, and risk assessments for proposed system architectures.
Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and verification teams to ensure seamless integration and validation of system components.
Develop and implement system-level test plans and strategies to ensure robust functionality and performance.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Act as a key technical interface with customers, understanding their needs and translating them into technical requirements and solutions.
Drive continuous improvement in system engineering processes and methodologies.
Contribute to intellectual property generation through patent disclosures and technical Qualifications
Master's degree or Ph.
D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.12+ years of experience in system engineering, with a strong focus on embedded systems and semiconductor product development.
Excellent written, oral and presentation capability
Individual contributor but works closely with team members from diverse cultures and geographies
Strong expertise in programming and modeling - C, C++, MATLAB, Python,Sold experience in wireless communication system design, or control system design, DC-DC modeling and performance analysis, jitter modeling
Worked in product specification and development in analog-mixed signal domain
