Principal Product Manager – Flight Ops Documentation Management

Skywise is looking for a Principal Product Manager to oversee the health and growth of our Flight Ops Documentation Management Solutions in our Flight Deck product portfolio. The ideal candidate will own the Documentation Management product offer, support our commercial teams on complex deals, drive product vision, and collaborate across all business lines.

Accountabilities

The Principal Product Manager is accountable for defining and updating the offerability of his/her set of products, updating product offerability policy, and owning technical contractual appendices (Statement of Work) to enable commercial teams to market, sell, and contract efficiently.

For complex or specific deals outside the standard offer, the Principal Manager assesses and mitigates technical risk during the contracting phase through Business Process Review with customers, ensuring proper risk mapping and approval through the deal assessment process.

The Manager defines the technical and functional statement on complex deals during the bidding process, ensures value delivery during implementation, and provides expertise throughout the support phase.

Additionally, the role supports the development and prioritization of new solutions/services by providing market insight and working with Flight Deck Portfolio Managers to prioritize needs within the portfolio roadmap.

Main Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the standard statement of work for non‑complex deals and the decision‑making process for classifying a deal as complex.
  • Provide the Portfolio and Software Factory teams with insight into current and upcoming airline requirements and prioritize them for inclusion in the product roadmap.
  • For complex deals:
    • Establish requirements on the customer side and at Navblue to optimize customer value while minimizing customization impact via Business Process Review.
    • Assess technical, functional, and cultural risks related to contract implementation.
    • Define the technical part of the contract’s statement of work.
    • Ensure value delivery and risk mitigation throughout implementation.
    • Support Product Delivery teams across regions for complex projects and priority customers.
    • Contribute to Skywise brand visibility through industry presentations and white‑paper publications.
    • Support Level 3 support team in prioritizing advanced items and customer escalations.

Education

Master of Science in Airline Management or equivalent.

Experience

Minimum 5 years with a strong background in the aviation training industry, working for an airline or a service provider in the Ops documentation management domain, or Flight operations documentation experience for an OEM.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities & Competencies

  • Operational knowledge of air operator functions, including flight operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Well‑developed interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to relate to all levels, both inside and outside the organization.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Positive “can‑do‑it” attitude to overcome obstacles.

Travel Required

Up to 20% domestic and international travel.
