The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join a growing multidisciplinary engineering team in Paris.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical engineering professional to take a senior technical role within a business delivering complex, high-value projects across the data centre and mission-critical sectors .

The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of technically challenging projects, working closely with clients, design teams, contractors and other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering design of complex projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and wider project teams.
• Develop electrical strategies, specifications, calculations and design documentation.
• Review and coordinate electrical designs produced by internal teams and external consultants.
• Work closely with mechanical, CSA, architectural and specialist engineering disciplines.
• Liaise directly with clients and key project stakeholders.
• Attend design reviews, technical meetings and project workshops.
• Support the development of project programmes, budgets and technical deliverables.
• Provide technical input throughout construction and commissioning phases.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant French and international standards, regulations and client requirements.
• Support the development of junior and intermediate engineers.
• Contribute to business development, proposals and the growth of the Paris office.

Project Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering complex electrical engineering projects, ideally within one or more of the following environments:

• Data Centres / Mission Critical
• High-tech facilities
• Industrial projects
• Commercial developments
• Healthcare
• Infrastructure
• Other technically complex MEP environments

Experience working on hyperscale, colocation or AI-focused data centre projects would be particularly valuable.

About You

We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer who can combine strong technical capability with client-facing and project leadership skills.

You should have:

• Significant experience in electrical building services engineering.
• Experience operating at Senior, Associate or Principal Engineer level.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and relevant standards.
• Experience working on large-scale, complex projects.
• The ability to lead technical delivery and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience engaging directly with clients and contractors.
• A commercial understanding of project delivery.
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
• Professional fluency in English ; French language skills would be advantageous.
