Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and professional salesperson who is truly excited by the future of technology. As a Principal Business Development Manager you will work within the Sales function to build strong relationships with new prospects within the IoT sector. You will discover and onboard new accounts that will deliver long‑term, high revenue business to Wireless Logic and ultimately achieve realistic quarterly targets. Once the account has been onboarded and delivered the expected revenue, you will coordinate a clear handover to the Account Development team. As a senior member of the team, you will operate with a reasonable level of autonomy.

Your Daily Quest

  • Identify key players in your focus market and understand how Wireless Logic can target this market more effectively.
  • Create new appointments through a multi‑touch sales strategy.
  • Attend customer appointments to establish rewarding relationships.
  • Consult prospective customers, solve their business problems, and deliver high‑quality professional proposals.
  • Build, maintain and manage a high‑performing blended sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on events, webinars or other prospect‑attracting activities.
  • Consistently achieve quarterly goals and objectives.
  • Communicate between departments to meet customer requirements and manage expectations.
  • Continuously demonstrate a desire to improve understanding of the business.

The Secret Sauce

  • Minimum of 7 years’ business development experience using a consultative sales process.
  • Minimum of 7 years of solutions‑based selling experience.
  • Experience in IoT connectivity sales.
  • Successful track record within a similar or adjacent industry.
  • Natural ability to build rapport and achieve engagement with a wide variety of people.
  • Commercially confident to discuss complex topics with high‑level decision makers.
  • Strong objection handling, negotiation and closing skills.
  • Excellent written, face‑to‑face and phone communication skills.
  • Ability to influence decision‑makers.
  • Team collaboration skills.
  • Efficient time management.
  • Clear communication.
  • Resilience.
