Principal Analog Design Engineer

NXP’s Driver & Energy Systems (DES) product line develops Battery Management System (BMS) solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as 48V automotive products. These products support the growing demand for vehicle electrification and must comply with strict performance, safety, and reliability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of analog or mixed‑signal blocks for battery management circuits from architecture to qualification within a project team.
• Partner closely with Design Architects to propose optimal architectures in terms of area, power consumption and performance based on strong analog design expertise.
• Translate specifications into electrical schematics.
• Develop and complete verification plans for the circuit, covering PVT, statistical, ESD/EMC and post‑layout simulations.
• Validate routing at the layout stage.
• Participate in product debug and validation at the lab, supporting qualification up to product release.
• Collaborate with the Design group and other technical groups at NXP, and develop competencies with opportunities for both technical and project responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of analog IC design experience.
• Proven experience with IC design in at least one of the following domains: ADC design, switch‑capacitor design, high‑voltage power management blocks, very accurate voltage references, physical layers such as CAN interface, high‑side and low‑side drivers.
• Experience in smart power BiCMOS technologies.
• Good knowledge of Cadence IC tools.
• Experience in requirement traceability management and ISO26262 compliance.
