Primary Flight Control System Designer (m/f)

Location: Toulouse, France.

Department: Flight Control & Guidance Systems, Airbus Commercial Aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Participate in primary flight computers specifications using formal tools such as SCADE and integrate flight control laws into the PFCS computers.
• Define interfaces between Primary Flight Control computers and other avionics systems.
• Contribute to the definition of tools and methods for specification of Primary Flight Control computers and establish applicable specification rules.
• Write test requirements (simulation, laboratory, or flight) and monitor progress.
• Participate in safety analysis linked to the Primary Flight Control System.
• Produce required technical evidence for certification.
• Document all aspects of Primary Flight Control computers specification.

Qualifications

• First experience in Flight Control Systems and/or System Design.
• Knowledge of system engineering methods.
• Understanding of aircraft flight control systems and equipment (avionics).
• Knowledge of overall computing and communication concepts.
• Strong communication skills to convince, justify, and influence.
• Some experience in project management is a significant advantage.
• Language skills: French (minimum intermediate) and English (negotiation level).
