Position Overview
The AWS Security Assurance Services (SAS) team, part of Amazon Web Services, creates scalable security solutions for both internal and external customers, driving business outcomes and advancing global workload security. The SAS working within AWS Support seeks a Practice Manager to expand the Security Assurance practice, educate customers on product‑led, people‑powered services, and ensure compliance objectives are met while migrating systems and workloads to AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead teams that deliver innovative governance, risk, compliance, and security objectives.
- Define security, compliance, and risk‑management approaches to help customers move sensitive workloads to the cloud faster.
- Engage in deep‑dive discussions, strategic presentations, and hands‑on demonstrations to resolve security assurance questions and achieve objectives in the AWS Cloud.
- Collaborate with AWS engineering, support, and business teams to convey partner and customer feedback as input to technology roadmaps.
- Develop long‑lasting customer relationships with strategic stakeholders while supporting Business Development and Customer Success efforts.
- Travel to customer sites as required.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of IaaS cloud computing transition challenges.
- Experience in IT consulting/management, focusing on IT Transformation in a customer‑facing role.
- Experience in program or engagement management, leading other project managers to deliver a program with multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience in enterprise architecture, including virtualization technologies and distributed architecture.
- Experience managing and delivering large‑scale enterprise IT projects.
- 10+ years of IT consulting/management with IT Transformation in customer‑facing roles.
- 3+ years of program or engagement management leading other project managers in a multi‑project environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of enterprise IT management frameworks such as COBIT or ITIL.
- Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on‑premise technologies (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP).
- Experience with customer relationship management, especially with C‑suite level engagement.
- Experience designing modern, scalable delivery models for technology consulting services.
