Purpose of the role
Working closely with Head of PR, develop, plan and execute a long-term editorial strategy for the UK and Irish markets across print and online platforms ensuring alignment with International guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT THE PCD MEDIA STRATEGY: devise a plan to support star launches, corporate stories and local activities to ensure the right fit and increased visibility for the brand.
- Support all International initiatives with a strong media strategy.
- Identify opportunities for the brand and implement bespoke initiatives.
- Collaborate with Central team to leverage and share best‑practice.
- DEVELOP KEY RELATIONSHIPS WITH MEDIA PARTNERS: maintain and develop strong press contacts with national, mainstream, niche and online titles, and within the beauty industry.
- Act as frontline representative for the company for incoming media inquiries.
- SECURE AND INCREASE VISIBILITY OF PCD VS COMPETITION: ensure targets are met on DMR and LVMH Media; #1 in print and online.
- Maximise visibility on PCD (fragrance, makeup, skincare and corporate) in close collaboration with all departments within the UK and Central teams for both print and online activities.
- Generate standalone features, shoots, interviews and video content, working collaboratively with the media to ensure Dior storytelling is optimised.
- Manage the makeup artist programme and seek out beauty shoots within mainstream and ?image? titles for the full year.
- Work closely with the Influencer PR Manager to activate digital stories on Influencer ?Friends of the House?.
- Support Head of PR with the planning, organisation and execution of press trips and events for Dior.
- Co‑responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the Press Office.
- Raise awareness and promote the brand image through UK & Ireland in line with the brand’s business objectives.
- Shared responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of the PR Assistant, including developing performance, setting measurable objectives and KPI?.
- Liaise with Marketing teams to develop launch plans and communicate PR objectives.
- Act as a brand guardian; drive networks inside and outside of the beauty arena to expose the brand to the most influential endorsements.
- Support Marketing with regional editorial support for local events to create excitement.
- Closely control the PR budget ensuring efficient raising of PO?.
- Build, maintain and manage relationships with Dior Couture.
- Compile monthly evaluation and analysis reports, extracting figures from DMR and LVMH databases.
- Oversee the ordering of pre‑series, catalogue stock and corporate materials for press.
Person Specification
- Proven experience working either in‑house or with an agency for a luxury brand (5+ years).
- Strong knowledge of current brand campaigns within the industry.
- Personal affinity with brand and products.
- Innovative and creative thinker able to develop new ways to tell the brand’s story.
- Proven record of successful relationships with the UK Press.
- International / Cross‑Functional experience an asset but not essential.
- Perfect written and spoken English.
- Excellent organisational, time‑management and budget management skills.
- Drive and resilience to deliver results.
- Mature, confident and persuasive individual who is at ease with both senior management and external stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Capability to understand and defend brand DNA; creativity; strong analytical skills; strong communication skills.
- General I.T. Skills: Excellent presentation skills.
