  • The PT Marketing Leader is responsible for developing marketing strategy, market trends assessment and analysis and implementing related marcom activities to support the Power Transmission growth target.
  • The role will be responsible for building a global 10 years view of customer needs and industry players positioning to support the development of the Power Transmission strategic direction.
  • He/she contributes to increase the effectiveness of business development and sales activities towards profitable growth, by providing Regions & Product Lines qualitative & quantitative insights on the market(s) and its players, inputs for products and services development and promotion tools, enhancing customer experience.
  • He/she will largely contribute to drive a strong customer-oriented culture in the marketing strategy.
  • Finally he/she will be responsible to manage PT Product Marketing Communication plan.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the team to perform research and gather data about customers’ needs and roadmaps, competitors’ positioning, and market conditions with focus on Energy market segment, in collaboration with regional commercial teams.
  • Develop global tools to identify market trends and consolidate these in an annual Market assessment system/reporting.
  • Work closely with product management and region commercial teams to continuously scan the market including new trends and requirements to create/refine the right market segmentation. This will enable Product management to drive products and solutions differentiation, articulate value propositions and market positioning.
  • Develop PT marketing strategy to ensure industry presence and promote new products and solutions. Develop innovative marketing approaches to create awareness and foster PT thought leadership. This will include the definition and execution of a comprehensive marketing communication plan in close cooperation with PT Communication Leader.
  • Monitor and forecast technology and industry trends and propose actions to adjust PT strategic direction based on data analysis.
  • Measure the effectiveness of PT marketing programs and strategies.
  • Develop B2B marketing strategy to ensure industry presence and promote new products and solutions. Manage the execution of a broad range of B2B marketing/communication activities including lead generation, tradeshows, content marketing, and other digital marketing activities.
  • Integrate and represent the PT Marketing function in the ESY (Electrification Systems) Marketing function.

Qualifications required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing or Engineering with a strong technical affinity or interest. Specific product knowledge is desirable but not mandatory.
  • 5 years experience leading a BtB marketing organization and a strong drive to contribute to the considerable growth expectation from the Business Line Power Transmission.
  • Energy industry experience demonstrated by a good understanding of customer needs and industry trends.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Customer focused.
  • Fluent in English, good notions of French/German.
  • Computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Sales platforms etc…).

Desired skills

  • Strong leadership profile, able to work in matrix as a contributor and influencer, with regular interaction with product, commercial, communication teams in and out the BL.
  • Ability to interface with and influence all levels of the customer’s organization as well as other internal functions.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial savvy.
  • Analytical skills, ability to understand and consolidate large amounts of data and information.
