Offer Description
The position is embedded in a highly interdisciplinary research environment combining fundamental science, applied research, and training activities. The successful candidate will work on advanced research projects dedicated to the design, synthesis, and optimization of zeolite materials for VOC capture and separation. The project addresses key challenges in environmental protection, air purification, and industrial emission control.
- Development of innovative zeolite synthesis routes tailored for selective VOC adsorption
- Structural and physicochemical characterization of porous materials
- Evaluation of adsorption performance and structure–property relationships
- Collaboration with experts in zeolite chemistry, catalysis, and advanced analytical techniques
- Participation in the organization of workshops, seminars, and outreach activities
- Mentorship and training of PhD students and early-career researchers
Research Environment
The postdoctoral researcher will have access to state-of-the-art synthesis and characterization facilities and will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of international experts in zeolites, porous materials, and catalysis. The CLEARRN Center is designed as both a training hub and an incubator for scientific innovation and technology transfer. The project will take place within the framework of the Labels d'excellence Center for zeolites and nanoporous materials, CLEARRN - CNRS managed by Dr. Svetlana Mintova (Director of Recherche, CNRS, LCS UMR 6506, Caen). The work will be carried out at LCS - Laboratoire Catalyse & Spectrochimie ( located in Caen (Normandy). The LCS has built its reputation on the preparation of zeolites and related porous materials, operando spectroscopy and catalysis. Combining very strong poles in synthesis, infrared spectroscopy, but also Raman spectroscopy, LCS occupies a unique place to perform competitive research of the highest level in the field of porous nanomaterials.
Applicants Should Hold a PhD in...
- Zeolite synthesis and/or porous materials
- Adsorption, catalysis, or environmental materials
- Scientific publication and international collaboration
Experience in mentoring students and contributing to scientific dissemination is highly valued.
